BTW, I keep noticing that our membership seems to have settled at 48. Another two, and we would be the nifty fifty.
Would it be appropriate to issue one or two discreet invitations to potential persons?

I think, at the level we're at, that it's perfect. Personally, I'd love freedomlover and mr_anderson to come over here and become regular contributors. It would be an honour to moderate their comments.

Any more and the SP could invade. This is a nice, cosy and peronable community.

There always seems to be a guest or two on here when I check so there seems to be a few readers as well. I feel that some of the posters elsewhere are spinmeisters rather than being interested in a dialogue. I was thinking about Squire because we have enjoyed talking about 3rd party possibilities here in the US which would be a fringe topic to most.

I certainly wouldn't want to see the sort of party-political slanging that goes on at p.ie replicated here...

Nay thanks. I can go to p.ie for rough trade!

My meaning might be misconstrued as regards Squire. We both hoped for the emergence of a decent alternative whether they be the green socialist McKinney or a Constitution Party candidate which would be described by some here a right wing. I would not use that terminology though.

I've had a delightful jaunt back through memory lane on the "What p.ie characters would ye like to go for a jar with?" thread. Exactly 7/15ths of my rugby team of P.ieposters have added Machine Nation citizensip to their online identities.

I'll fvck off so - as you so kindly suggested.

I didn't post on that thread but I would have chosen some similar to you at the time: Coles; ibis + He3; cactus flower would be the only female I'd choose - she knows her compost; CM, riadach, notdevsson, Audi and merle I think. Maybe RoC if he gets the mudwrestling thing out of his head. Now obviously I'd add you and EVM at least to the rest and Seathrún too.

But it would be tea we'd all be going for here, not pints...

I have done - bits and pieces of Kavanagh or Mahon as appropriate to threads and posters present but it sinks faster than the Lusitania.

But does it feel right? Nah.

No reason not to do it though, and shake up the left-brainers a bit.

Was I not on Ard-T's list in that thread ? Was I on anyone's list ?

Put poetry on P.ie
Put spuds in the trough
Hear the savagery
As they grunt and scoff.

Nice! I particularly like the dual meaning of 'scoff' there.

I never put such a list up. I cherish them all, with the exception of the tiny handful on my Ignore list.

Thanks ibis, I had a bit of a gift for poems when i was in school, then I wrote one to get back (destroy his reputation) a chap who was bullying me, he never bullied me again, and I stopped writing poems. It was all very upsetting at the time.

Did you get the animal in the image ?
