It might kill a puppy or cause a hurricane in Bali. Meh. We'll live with that tomorrow. Sure my free market ideals have surely killed a puppy or two already. Ah but look on the bright side, they got a Happy Meal into the bargain! And a job. Indeed. Specialisation of labour is a wonderful thing! |

I'm always amazed at people who write out really long posts. Are they not affected by this? And is there any way to end this infuriating practice? I write everything out in notepad first. I have lost loads of posts. Usually it is because I have hit preview instend of send and don't realise it. This happens because I just hit return assuming the focus is on the "Send" button. When I then navigate away I lose the post. The logging out thing has not happened.

| The subtitle overlaps the background image. Needs 15px more in the CSS. |

I'm always amazed at people who write out really long posts. Are they not affected by this? And is there any way to end this infuriating practice? There are quite a few annoying things this site does. The above is one of them and ignoring any formatting on my posts is another. I've lost long posts twice or three times - no more. Sometimes if I write a long one I highlight and copy it all before I press Send but generally I can't say it's annoying or even mildly annoying as I have nearly three thousand posts many of them long and have only lost two or three. Maybe if ye write more shite like I do ye won't lose as much. Sh*t sticks. Either that or use Mozilla Firefox to see if anything is different in terms of buttons or formatting or screen width. I wonder what the problem is - is it the site or some other reason or a combination and moreso how often does it happen that you lose posts. Sorry that it does this at all as some writings here and elsewhere are of very high quality. Cookie you have no buttons? You're not posting from a pc I'm guessing. Kerrynorth has had problems using this site from an Opera browser, which I'm guessing you might be using too. If you get any of the buttons to work you might look at the very last one, which is the annoying one for me - the one with the big and small capital As. Pressing it switches html on or off. When on, if you insert an image using the image insert button or a link then your insertion appears immediately as a link or image in the editor. I think it's buggy and use it manually where you don't see the inserted image or link as a link but instead the html behind it. But cookie if you have no buttons then it could be site and your browser not interacting properly. I'll have a look at what the pm problem is for you TheBear - could be the site is set to delete pms after a short while or some nonsense. You haven't been here for a while and it's nice to see a blue woman around the joint. http://ia.media-imdb.com/images/M/MV5BMTc2MDc5NDU0NF5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTYwODQxMjc3._V1._SX100_SY133_.jpghttp://content7.flixster.com/question/26/75/25/2675253_std.jpg |

| I do what Auditor #9 does and do a quick copy every now and again while I'm writing - and particularly before opening a second window.
I lose posts on P.ie because of the preview thing. |

| I think he means the line on the very top of the screen that reads 'a look under the nation's bonnet' which is a fraction of an inch to far down to be aesthetically perfect. |
