The Horsey set'll ride roughshod over our backs yet.

Ruairi Quinn is explaining something about recapitalisation to Joe O'Toole - the Labour Party want a Banking Commission where Anglo would be the bad bank and the country would get some assets which went belly up .... Sounds like they both agree that the recap will free up as much capital as bleeding a bag of turnips.

David Begg does not look happy.

Conor Lenihan looks happy enough.

Ivana Bacik - neither happy nor sad.

Two other dudes with the above. One looks happy the other is seething with bile and rage.

Scary hair. However scarier is Conor Lenihan's phrase 'the real economy' to describe the private sector.

Ivana Bacik is right, we shouldn't pit public and private sectors.

Why don't people consider that graduated income tax is the fairest way to tax. and much simpler than all these daft levies?

Has the folk memory of how income taxes work been erased during the Harney era?

Why don't we do the 200m drugs saving thing that Kieran O'Donnell is banging on about ?

O'Donnell being harangued for playing party politics by Magill Editor.

Who owns that half a rood of whale a no man's whale ?

Yer man Delaney, the Magill editor is an awful character. He likes his own voice no matter where he can get it. A more educated version of Ian O'Doherty. Why do we have so many self righteous people on television?

Conor Lenihan is saying that if GDP falls enough, we can still meet our Foreign Aid targets even if we don't spend anything Smile

Yeah, it means we can cut it by about 6% and still stay on target to meet the 0.7% of GDP ODA target set down at UN level. Recessions are good for some things!

Is that we he said!? That's mental - we're on a roll as a nation now. Isn't it cheaper for developing nations to import now though too ?

Ivana Bacik saying there's no plan behind the cuts - any of them. No strategy.

Eamon Delaney looking contemptuosly at everyone. He smiles when caught on camera though Wink

And them too! Laughing No need for a climate change strategy when our carbon-intensive industries have nothing to sell nor 100 grand 09 gas-guzzlers going up and down the road! All hail the virtues of a contractionary economic environment!

Reduction of traffic jams, getting shiny new cars off the road thereby pleasing Christian Pauls who will be giving us a skipload of Deutchmarks next year on that basis.

Begg selling it now. He's doing a good job too.

Will it be very transparent though ? The banks need to be bypassed at this stage.

Man giving out rightly to Lenihan good and proper. He says he is someone who has done everything right and is given 25 euro a week to provide for each of his two children.
He is not a bit impressed with his government.

They have no answers to that man, trying to get by and raise two children on petty sums of money while they talk about capping the obscene rewards for the incompetents who led us here. No answers at all.

Irish Nationwide gave a 56 million dollar loan to Fitzpatrick to cover loans he had taken from Anglo Irish. Most people on the Panel thought it was fraud.
