| Ha, never mind the Lisbon treaty. I have to explain how there's not a sinister attempt by Ted Turner to starve five billion people by not drilling for oil in Alaska, while Europe gets duped into joining the USSR, which hasn't gone away you know. Pour me one of those. |

| Can I get one? I had to read their excuse of a history thread while not being able to respond. No sign of Irish unity in the 12th century my arse. Irish being heathens, therefore the English were sent in, my bollix. Irish were more hedonistic than heathen. |

Let's face it, it will be won on softcore porn.
Come back yfg, all is forgiven
I particularly liked myksav's post accusing you of being stupid and provocative, successfully managing to be stupid and provocative by virtue of the accusation alone.
By saying you were stupid, he was being provocative.
By saying you were provocative, while he was being provocative, he was being hypocritical i.e. stupid.
Therefore, by saying you were stupid and provocative, he was being provocative and stupid. I am so glad that someone else understood that. The temptation to reply with "oh, shut the fuck up, you mindless muppet" was very large. Still, it would have constituted cruelty to the hard of thinking. |

| Are you off shift for the night now ibis? I had a problem with someone today well they have a problem with red tape in their job and asked me to help because they can't speak english very well and I wonder would a lot of that red tape just be banished by Lisbon and the episode - which has been going on with this lady for 18 months now - provoked me into thinking that our bureaucracy here is feckin stalinist or worse at times... would that it would be swept clean by a new treaty. |

I am indeed off-shift! Depends on what area it is. It is actually a large part of what the EU does, streamlining red tape - ask Edo. Still, it would depend which area it's in - the EU tends to create environmental legislation, whereas left to our own devices I doubt we'd have much in the way of it at all. |

| Look above - rebelman left you a message.
I don't understand what you mean by making one of your own - you can just add another message by typing in your name where Rebelman is and a message where message is and press Go. |

Saw a guy get prosecuted today for sleeping while pulled up on a motorway. Fined three hundred squid. Just can't win. Pass me another couple of those cf. Would they be a suitable replacement for the giant coke bottles (they certainly look much more interesting). Tonights miles are in words, not yards, thank God. Lots of stuff to write up. But no guarantee I won't fall asleep over the jolly old laptop either. |

| Friends, Romans, countrymen; lend me your ears(be they human, Vulcan or Borg implants) It is my pleasure to award his excellency, the Monster of Cookies, cookiemonster, this bottle of Romulan ale for his peerless knowledge of all things Trek... I hope you enjoy it, cookiemonster, it's a great vintage and it was the Praetor's personal recommendation. Also, I must acknowledge Kate P's absolutely hilarious answers to the Trek questions with the presentation of this picture of Patrick Stewart(as Captain Jean Luc Picard) for her to cherish and enjoy... To each of you, live long and prosper! |

Oh, ibis, I think I'll HAVE to vote Yes to Lisbon for that cracker. You've made a life-long Trekker laugh like a barracks-full of Klingon warriors. And that's saying something! Nice. See, this is why Trek is brilliant. It's a force for good in the galaxy. |
