Insomniac/Nighthawk thread

I thought I would start this thread for posters who find themselves at the laptop for whatever reason between the hours of two and six a.m. and who are tempted to disrupt the focused and coherent quality of the threads on this site with their night time thoughts.

Oh dear. Mind gone blank. Perhaps will go back to sleep for an hour.

well cf, i guess i'll quickly post here before crashing. Just me and EVM online and I've just discovered the world map on "who's online" part of the site.

It's interesting to read which country names are listed and see where usernames are located.
Now, I should prob. post this under Business and Finance as a query for Youngdan ... but Kazakhstan (and yes, I'm sure I've misspelt that!) reminds me of a company I keep meaning to google - on the Guardian's daily "Top 100 shares", I have been monitoring a company called Kazakhmys ... one of a minority of co.s with + figures over the last few weeks, though went -4 on Wed. 2nd. Apr. No idea who they are. Must google this lot tomorrow (later today) when I have time.

Didn't Elizabeth Bishop have a poem about Insomnia? Must dig it out, can barely rem it.

I know nothing about that company Atticus and the way my fortunes have been of late I would question whether I know anything at all. There may be a ton of minerals back there but there is certainly a sparsity of honest men. The markets were up today in London ,Dublin and NY were up today despite the fact that the news was terrible. Everyone believes the central banks can and will make sure everything is fine and dandy. These are not normal times. Copper prices are almost at an all time high when it should be dropping with a recession at hand. I would not risk too much in this gamble. I see rio tinto was up 4.6% in London today. If copper continues to rise a big company is the way to go. I don't follow riotinto as my favourite mining stock is Hecla Mining.

Someone rang me to talk about an essay, at 1.15 this morning.
