A lot of allegations flying about there including some that should be referred to the Revenue Commissioners. On the day that Monica Leech was rightly rewarded for heavy duty libelling, this is not stuff that I would want to take a view on. If people have new information of payments etc. it should be taken to the IR, the Guards and/or the Tribunals. |

But 'he' says he has sent it to the IT and to Ahern himself - which is odd - why not the Tribunal. I wonder who this person is. The information is very specific and I think unlikely that it's being posted in bad faith. I wonder if this isn't a game of cat and mouse - allowing Ahern enough rope to hang himself on some deception about information which is being held back until he has walked into the trap. |

He makes allegations about his former employer that seem relevant to the Revenue. It looks messy to me. If he wants to present information in a credible way, he would want to write it up and substantiate it a good bit better. Just because something is said about Bertie, or a Bertie supporter, it doesn't mean it is true. Frank Connolly was wrong in relation to Monica Leech. |

| The fellow's a crank. He has a beef with the pension issue of someone he knows (perhaps his mother) and has somehow linked it in to the Tribunal issues of Ahern. I have PMed him to give him Tribunal contact details twice since he registered, he hasn't done it, just keeps posting without any linking detail I won't engage beyond that. |

Thanks for that toxic avenger. You confirm my feelings. These pension disputes can be the very devil I hear... |

| My cynical nature suspects something more, I\'m afraid.
Just wondering, if unfounded and unsubstantiated statements about Ahern start gaining traction and getting bandied about in public, who benefits? Especially if criminal proceedings commence?
Can't help thinking of Mary Harney and Charles Haughey...

Can't help thinking of Mary Harney and Charles Haughey... Suspicion is always healthy, but in this case I think he's just a bloke with a gripe who wants to publicise it. He hasn't given any detail of a tenable link to Ahern, so if it is some kind of trap it's not a very good one, no-one is really being drawn. |

| The posts are low grade Bertie ranting and insinuations. The poster claims to have knowledge and a grudge but gives nothing. Worse than boring. Most of the random hecklers are focussed on Ganley now. Bit of kudos to Bertie that he can still get a few morons to attack him. |

Somebody obviously very close to this issue with a lot of inside information has laid bare more of the murky details of Ahern's 'friends' and 'digouts'. Given your own disgraceful attempt to link Ahern with Peter McKenna’s death on another thread, it’s not surprising that you would be willing to believe any old muck spewed out by an anonymous crank on a website. Once information feeds your own bias do you require no standard of proof at all before you swallow it hook, line and sinker? |

Thanks for that toxic avenger. You confirm my feelings. These pension disputes can be the very devil I hear... That explains the peculiarity alright - weird to send info to everyone but the people who would be most interested in establishing the truth of it. At the same time it's very specific. An open mind - either way - is the best response. |

I have heard way too many 'conspiracies' over the last four years that turn out to be completely devoid of rationality. They in turn only serve to provide ammunition to use against legitimate cases such as Gilmartin's. I tend to give them a hearing, then close my mind off to them. |
