Bobotie. It's a Cape Malay dish from South Africa. Spicy and sweet; minced beef or lamb, almonds, chili, coriander, sultanas, bay leaves (essential) and more and topped with a custardy sauce with nutmeg.
A fancy meatloaf if you like. I must try to find you an online recipe. Great for a family supper or indeed a party.

Cape Malay cooking is very nice - though spicy! My mother went on a cookery course for a day out in Cape Town in the autumn and brought back a load of recipes and spices.

I tend not to do anything to do with washing machines and have never ironed a thing in my life. I don't think I'm necessarily afraid of doing these domestic tasks, it's just that I have never liked them and find them to be rather frustrating. I will hoover, dust, set tables, make beds, stir pots and pans and unstack dishwashers before I'd take on a task relating to the washing machine or iron.
I am comparatively better at the other tasks so I have specialised in them to enhance my aggregate domestic productivity. If I was to do the ironing, that would be an act of unspeakable economic inefficiency!
