I know a guy whose family had an enormous argument over that! The Dad wanted to stick the whole family down as Jedi - the Mum was not impressed! |

| Should we have a Law forum here, not under any other forum? |

| Law and Justice maybe - as a separate forum? |

| Can the right-hand column be widened out? The poll bar-chart is seriously fecked up and the list of users online is very hard to read. Doubling the width of it would make the Portal page much more readable. |

| Very quiet tonight here and elsewhere. I was thinking - given the success of An Sibín Reoite, do ye think we would draw a lot of posters if we opened a smoking bar here? No policeman would ever find it in this little corner of the internet.
Just a thought.

Just a thought. If we're going to be illegal, we might as well go the whole way. I vote for a brothel. Legalising brothels will ensure that we are in receipt of a steady stream of mobile foreign capital from the Netherlands. We could significantly improve our balance of payments situation. It could be the biggest thing yet for Machine Nation's economy. |

| cactus can we have a brothel ? it would generate employment through economic activity . it would be sustainable growth - there would be no capitalisation of externalities and scarce resources. It would add to the health and wealth of this machine nation . |

And then there would be the ICA picket up from Kilkenny... |

Cool. Lots of customers then, with high levels of disposable income. |

EvotingMachine0197 - are we able to change the poll? fidelity is not gripping the nation as an issue this week. Perhaps people have other topics that could be put up to the vote? |

| We need to change it alright it's there since the start god bless it. If you have anything in mind mull it over and we'll put a new poll up there tomorrow. You should be able to make polls too now - try it in Welcome if you like - make a dummy poll with some names for the unnamed breakfast bar or somthing or a real poll about something. I'm sure you'll think of something.
Suggestions for polls always welcome folks.

Suggestions for polls always welcome folks. How about: Will Declan Kidney be the next Irish rugby manager? Will Brian Cowen lead FF to a fourth term in Government? Will Euro/Sterling reach parity by the end of the year? Where will house prices be in 12 months time? Who will win the next Booker Prize? What is the most important invention of the last 10 years? Could one of these replace the current poll? |

| It would be good if the latest discussions list showed which forum the different threads are in. |

Noted Zhou. I think it means creating a HTML page for the portal and doing a bit of javascripting but I wouldn't be sure it's possible . The low tech alternative is to write the forum name into the thread name but perhaps the above is doable. Thanks. |

| It might mean the thread names don't display too well in the latest discussions list so you would have to test it. By the way, that latest discussions list is very long. Can it be divided into pages, e.g. thread 1 -20 etc.? |

I can limit the portal to show anything upto 99 threads but it will not show page numbers with pages of threads like on p.ie for example. What you are looking at is a 'skin' too so if we switch it off it'll look more or less exactly like p.ie does now. I think we should adapt this skin if we can because it's beau-tiful If you think a slightly shorter list of threads would be tidier then suggest a number and I'll limit it to that. - Zhou_Enlai wrote:

Is that one of the Eh... links ? |
