There are 20,000 Irish people living in the US illegally and countless Mexicans amongs others. There's a lobby group here - the ILIR - whose chairman appeared this morning on Morning Ireland and criticised Ahern who had not submitted an ILIR proposal to Washington while he was there handing over the bowl of grass.
Later on Michael Ring turned up on drivetime and hit Bertie again.
Bertie can only do so much but should the '33rd County' be validated American citizens? Along with the 33rd Counties of the many other countries whose citizens contribute to the American economy and without whom the economy would be a very different place as they proved recently by marching on the streets?

i was hoping those irish papers would throw some interesting mud at bertie after his during his resignation from outside the country, but if you read the editorials in the irish voice etc, they praise him to the roof despite the recent spate.
