Sad that Ireland has to rely on such solutions for broadband. Every
time I see that vile Mary O'Rourke on television, I remember the
Eircom flotation and her part in it. FF sold critical communications
infrastructure. That makes them traitors in my opinion.

What was different to that privatisation and every other national telecom flotation across Europe? They were all quite similarly executed.

I ain't telling. As far as I know, the only people who know where this is are me and the people who put it there.

Interestingly, I found it along a heavily promoted walking route in this county. I was up there on Saturday on a bank holiday weekend with the sun splitting the rocks and I didn't meet any other walkers.

That might be a clue.

Would it be the one walking route to bind them, one walking route to find them, one walking route to rule them all?

Getting the price wrong. Selling
Eircell at the bottom of the market.

Not putting anything in the Customer Charter about broadband was also a major cock-up. Mammy thought she was doing us a favour by commiting eircom to providing us all with *voice* services. Thanks Mammy.

And not building in any requirement to unbundle the loop and let us have broadband.

That I would agree with. It puzzles me to this day why Eircell was sold, it would've lifted the company back up from 2003 to 2005. It was a great brand with a good product, they didn't need to sell.
