I just gave it to them with spaces and told them to remove it. Naturally it will take a certain amount of commitment and effort for them to do that, but they're Irish speakers, commitment and effort is what they're all about lol.

It is an unneccessary fear I think. We are not set up for a mass influx, and hardly would do a Tom Cruise attempt (Jerry - Show Me The Money) to lure several thousand P.ie posters. But I think it is perfectly O.K. to let a few internet pals know that we exist.

Can someone ask ataxia on the cathal ó searcaigh thread on p.ie http://www.politics.ie/viewtopic.php?f=171&t=32902&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=24 , where he thinks the glottal stops are in irish? The fact is, they don't exist (with a possible exception of two ulster words), but english is full of them. He is using it as a reason to criticise the language ironically. You could also ask him what archaic conjugations he has in mind, and even so why he thinks this takes away from the language.
