It seems the Polish candidate is a supporter of an antisemitic
politician. Are we agreed on that? What you are querying is whether he
himself is antisemitic.

It seems highly likely that he is, as most people who are not antisemitic would be fairly repelled by that kind of thing.

Is he a member of the League of Polish Families? If he is, that would
confirm it, as the party's followers are known for anti-semitic street
violence. I posted links on this in the previous thread. The League of Polish Families is described by many commentators as a neo fascist party and members use the Nazi salute.

Nice of you to pick up the wrong end of the stick, yet again.

No, What we are querying is the lie on the people korps blog that is is 1. A Libertas candidate and 2. that he was " censured for saying Jews were biologically different". Both are lies.

Highly likely doesn't cut it when stating it as fact. If's and maybes don't cut it either. You don't know if he's a member of the LPF of not so until you do your insecessant Nazi and fascist references don't mean anything.

We're dealing with fact here, Cactus Flower, not supposition, speculation and hearsay.

Libertas representatives

The seven other members of national parliaments that Libertas lists on its founding documents are:
Philippe de Villiers: French MEP and leader of the Eurosceptic party, Movement for France (MPF).
Paul-Marie Coûteaux: Also a MPF MEP.
Georgios Georgiou: A Greek MEP and member of the Popular Orthodox Rally, a party that previously held anti-Semitic views.
David Alton: A non-affiliated member of the UK House of Lords, known for his Catholic and anti-abortion views
Timo Juhani Soini: a member of the Finnish parliament and leader of the anti-EU party, True Finns.
Hristov Kouminev: A member of the Bulgarian Parliament and nationalist party Attack.
Cyprian Gutkowski: A member of a Polish regional assembly and the League of Polish Families
party, noted for its right-wing and anti-homosexual views.
From Europeanvoice.com.
The Polish Party seems to be one of the most toxic groups in Europe, whose supporters engage in street violence including throwing acid.

What is the Bulgarian Party, "Attack" ?

Because you can't prove it. We're back to this again. You make a claim, the onus is on you to back it up.

You have made your point that Peoplekorps statement is not substantiated, but seeing as numerous sources identify the Libertas candidate as a member of the League of Polish Families, and it is an antisemitic party identified as such by numerous sources, those are the relevant facts.

Cookiemonster, are you saying he is not a member of that the League of Polish Families?

I apologise for not providing links, but technological difficulties are preventing me. The specific source I referred to is europeanvoice.com, but sources are so numerous that if you wanted to check it you could do that without difficulty.

I am asking for proof that he is a member of the LPF as has been stated here.

The Bulgarian Party "Attack" is also a racist and antisemitic party.

The have, at least it seems, signed membership forms. I could say that it is undeniable that they are members of Libertas, but then it seems that it is!

Nowhere did I say that I don't accept that they are part of Libertas. But it is incorrect that they are candidates, to say they are and do so without confirmation is incorrect.

Just to recap :

What does "candidates" mean ? Running for election?

If they're people of certain extreme views and are not running but are members - what does that mean exactly ? I'm sure you'll even find an Anarchist or two in Fianna Fáil, won't you?

Maybe not.

A candidate in political is somebody endorced by a party to seek election to a position.

To clarify, none on the people who helped Libertas establish itself as a party at EU level are candidates. There are, as yet, no confirmed Libertas candidates. A number of people have expressed a willingness to be candidates though.

You might not find an Anarchist is FF, but you will find an antichrist or two.
