I wouldn't call it an insurance quote, more at attempt at extotion.

An excess is the amount you pay for a claim made against your insurance. Typically it's around €200.

That quote for 2200 euros a year is for insurance. When I read it first I thought it was the price or the car. The missus got a brand new what is called a plymouth voyager there recently and full comprehensive insurance is less than a grand. To get a better feeling for the socialist mindset today I bought Barracks book in paperback for 8.34 dollars. Of course I will be getting Paul's book in hardback regardless of cost.

That mileage is actually looked upon an good. She choose the 3.8 litre model called the Dodge Grand Caravan here. As recently as 1999 gas was less than 1 dollar a gallon. Cheapest today at 3.07. Did ye get a chance to watch the video on the air car on the other thread.

I don't think even 3.8 litre buses exist here yet..that's a massive engine - you'd burn a lot of gas driving across the largest state in the union. My car does about 11 miles to a litre - don't ask me about gallons there's US and UK ones (I think about 40 miles to UK gallon - 8 pints?)

I must get to watch the moon one yet. I didn't know there was an air car one - I'll have a look..

I can't seem to see it. Is it a TATA air car by any chance? I know the Indians have designed a compressed air car and are selling it for four grand. The have a small petrol one for sale as well.

Apparently Ratan Tata spent 20 millio euros on developing the Air Car ... it would cost that here for some consultant to give advice on a 10 km stretch of motorway

What energy would be used to compress the air? Is not from my own company Kate, I think it's from that XSplus place. And yes it is driver related, because I'm under 26 it is obvious I'm going to go joy riding in my uber cool Toyota Prius.

Did you watch the video I linked as well. Sure people will go for it here. Most driving here are short trips. Because nearly every household is 2 vehicles the 2nd one could be the air car. Even if the mail service used them it would be a massive saving. The video makes things clearer. The firm is French and is a start up independent of any auto company.

Have a look at this before the oil companies buy up all the technology...
