Anyone know of any cheap hotels for a weekend away in Leinster?

What kind of trip?

Roughly 200 euro for 2 nights would be the absolute maximum - weekend, not midweek. Trip away with the girlfriend.

Is there anywhere that you like, johnfas - that would give me an idea of the sort of place you might go for?

We both like walks in the countrysie, mountains and by the sea. I enjoy looking around historic buildings, particularly those related to the Anglo-Irish. You don't have to tick all the boxes . B & B is absolutely fine - in fact perhaps even better. Im not into swanky, particularly.

I'm not sure about current prices, but the Red Bank in Skerries might be worth a try.

Favourite place to stay has always been in the buildings owned by the Irish Landmark Trust but don't have the money at the moment.
