| Thanks to everyone who participated in the first of my Roman quizzes and congratulations again to ibis to his encyclopaedic knowledge of the matters Roman. Here is another set of questions to set your teeth into and the prize for this round is a 500 sesterces voucher to all the finest baths of Rome. You will be pampered beyond belief in the baths of Caracalla, Diocletian or any other of the 60 public baths of Rome participating in this scheme. There's also the chance of special prizes for unique takes on questions! So without further blabbering, here are the questions! 1.Why were the geese of Rome so revered? 2.Crassus, Caesar, _______ What completes the sequence and why? 3.What, in Latin, does Pulcher mean? 4.I meet you in the baths for a chat, you say you've recently become a publicani. What does your day job entail? 5.Who is reputed to have founded the great House of the Julii? 6.Who were the first civilisation to be conquered by the Romans? 7.From wher did Samnite pottery come? 8.What is this? 9.Cheques existed in Ancient Rome, true or false? 10.Who is this? |

| If the picture can't be seen, I'll just discount the question from the calculations. You could have a guess and see if you're right, stab in the dark and all that! |
