| Even the look/mention of his name gives me the rage. Do you think I'll watch him for an hour on television when there are fine chicks talking money and the stockmarket crash on Bloomberg ? |

I missed last week, but it sounded like a fascinating insight into the Drumcondra Set. |

| They were all complaining in the papers that they had been misquoted etc. Except Royston I presume, we all know where he stands on Bertie . Seemed like a load of retrospective bollox to me. They were going on as if Ahern studied the Mafia and worked it all out. Sounded more like they looked back on it, thought that sounded good and decided to compare it. |

If this episode is anything to go by, it is quite an achievement to make a programme on a Head of State and head of a political party and omit any mention of politics. |

| No I don't mean you cactus. Last week the Drumcondra set on the programme were discussing Ahern's organisation and were saying that Ahern based it on the Mafia and Chicago gangs. It was that which I said was retrospective bollox. |

| Very nice Auditor #9. The male "frontpersons" for Bloomberg make Bertie look like Brad.
The 1993 Tax Amnesty is an interesting subject. |

| What's the Tax Amnesty again ?
O God I can't bear to watch it ! The heart-wrenching recounting of such destitution and living in borderline poverty up in St. Luke's in a bedsit reminds me too much of my own pitiful situation at the moment - it brings tears to my eyes like the way it does when you spot a twenty note on the ground outside the post office and you go to walk quickly for it but old Mrs. Flanagan picks it up just before you.
If I leave my VISA number here would ye put a few deposits in ? I know some of ye are rolling in it and wouldn't miss two or three grand. What's two or three grand nowadays anyway eh ? It's only a bit of loose change that some of ye might be storing up in a big jar just to get it out of your pockets in case it dirties your duds.
thx

I like Bernard Lo - he's on at midnight just after Catherine Yang. He's got a good sense of humour - I like him. Bertie is very convincing on tv isn't he ? The old charmer. |

| You're right about B Lo - a nice manner. He reminds me of my uncle Ernest. You want to be careful with that Visa number Auditor #9 - remember what happened to Jeremy Clarkson when he gave his out - he was signed up (involuntarily) to multiple direct debits to Oxfam. |

Its very odd in tone, somehow a bit Hello magazine, and its not just Bertie's foundation. Maybe the mingling of political and personal. It will be an historic document, in time, but is hard to watch right now. |

| It is a poor programme because they are presenting it as if it were a documentary on, for example, Seán Lemass. That is, a documentary on history, based on objectivity. There is not objectivity. It is a charade of comment which is unworthy of the term documentary. |

| Haven't watched tonight's yet, but the Tribunal stuff is next week apparently. Who was to know that just as he was basking in the glow of the GFA, Tom Gilmartin was on the phone to Tribunal counsel giving them a very different image of the Dear Leader?... |
