Single Sex Marriage - Is Love a Many Splendoured Thing?

I just noticed that Ellen de Generes and Portia de Rossi have just announced their wedding plans.

Last week a lesbian couple got married in San Franciso the minute it was permitted by a Supreme Court judgement. They had lived together for 55 years and were in their 80s, one of them in a wheelchair.
