| The atmosphere in the count centre has deteriorated rapidly. Early this morning as we were in our little vacuum, there was great optimism among FF that results were looking good. Then news began to filter in that the response across the country wasn't as salubrious.
It's like a morgue here now. - admittedly a lot of people have gone for lunch - I'm laptop dining. The votes are currently being sorted. Looks like we won't have a final result from here until closer to four. No sign of An Taoiseach who could probably do with being in the warm bosom of his Offaly compatriots and no sign of Junior Minister John Moloney who is in Brussels. |

| Dublin South went for the EU big time, perhaps a Dublin Yes could swing the national trend back towards the Yes side? |

No, it's pretty certain it's a No, I think. |

No, it's pretty certain it's a No, I think. That's it, I was just being hopeful, Cavan Monaghan went No 54-46%, Dublin South has just scraped a Yes vote. |

Does that make sense? Youth Defence make my skin creep btw. They were despicable in drowning out an elected Minister on the radio with their immature exuberance. |

| Anybody hear Mary Hanafin talking about conscription on radio 1?
" I identified this factor some time ago.."
more like when you were conscripted to say it 10 mins before you landed into the studio |

| Kildare North a very strong Yes with 55-45 margin. I wonder how Laois Offaly will go? |

Tallies say yes 53-47. Counting at present - about halfway through. Really? I thought it had declared a vote, the News at One reported it as such. Donegal North East voted heavily for the No, 63-37, I think. |

Yep, rich people voted Yes, poor people voted No. That's quite a divide. |

its funny when we were tallying this morning - we were whistling away like total happy campers - totally oblivious to the carnage around us at the other polls count tables in the Hall. Its Gas - well I did what I could -After 4 months I can get my life back again - we had a small but dedicated crew - Lucinda, Edie and Paddy (our councillors) should take a bow - they were fucking great and really pushed the boat out when the rest of Yes camps elected reps turned and hid - so we can hold our head up high on that score. Mixed feelings - Knew it was going to be a No countrywide about a week ago - but really really proud of our own efforts in our own backyard. |

Yes I think you have a point - but not that clear cut - I was surprised at the number of Yes votes we got in the "poorer areas" of the constituency - we didnt win any of them - but we went mighty close in several and it shows the results of showing the face and listening. |

I wonder did Mary of the Frosses's appearance on Miriam go down well? Yeah, that is some percentage. A very strong No vote. |
