My family is almosts entirely No (and I had nothing to do with it!). Even my 6 year old nephew is quoting posters, telling us to vote no because saying yes to Lisbon is saying no to choice. Scary. I was concerned about corp tax, but I don't think that is directly affected by Lisbon and the various tax and accountancy bodies and the like of Taxation Institute, Institute of Chartered Accountants, IBEC, IDA etc all called for a "YES". Beyond that I like the "streamlining" of how the EU operates. I'm a real Europhile (whilst not blind to it's faults) and want the EU to have it's own identity with respect to foreign policy. I'm sick of the US being the only "western" voice in the world. So really once my taxation issues were dealt with I swung firmly to "YES". |

Even closer, 11-12. This could yet be a statistical tie. |

| If the Yes votes are pulling level on the internet then they must be streaking ahead in reality! |

| Well I did my duty but I was a bit disappointed at the complete lack of a sense of humour of the election officers. I only said that if she could spare a half dozen of them voting forms, I happily take them off her and fill them in. Only got the evil eye and one lousy ballot paper... |

| So far this poll says more about who has been on MN today than anything. The outcome of 115 (?) voters on the poll that ran over the last week or so, was very different. Only 24 so far today and naturally a very different result on the lower figures. And now I am off to vote a resounding NO! |

| True democrats on politics.ie - allowing people to spoil their vote like that... I suppose it is meant to be a reflection of an actual exit poll...
Computers are meant to be used to exterminate human error though. |

Computers are meant to be used to exterminate human error though. They have listed spoilt votes and people not voting at all separately. This means it won't represent an actual exit poll. If they listed spoilt votes only it would. |

| I voted Yes this afternoon about 4.30. Pretty quiet, Dublin Central. Who cares to read the runes? |

| I don't back horses Auditor... but if I did... Nah, I think this is knife edge. I have absolutely no sense of what way it will go. It reminds me very much of 12 months ago, although then I actually had something tangible to lose depending on the result. This time there's a certain emotional detachment...which isn't to say I don't take it seriously, but it's a lot less fraught. As you say, a lot depends on the next three and a half hours. Meant to ask, and apologies if it's already been answered here, is there an RTÉ exit poll expected at 10? |

| Well just exercised my democratic right. The mother asked me which way I was voting, and then said she'd vote the same way. I begged her to reconsider and actually read the booklet, but she refused. Btw, I voted yes. |
