Assuming he means CCCTB rather than Closed Circuit Television...no, every expert opinion (including some honest ones on the No side!) up to and including the Irish Institute of Taxation have agreed that it's a veto area. |

| Hard to picture that through the eyes of someone not already committed. I thought both Mary Lou and Declan Ganley were made to look rather silly. Ben Dunne and Sinead O'Connor did far better on the Joe Duffy show today. |

You could be digitising away on a Blackberry or N95 behind the suited lady who was banging on about the abortion. On the CCCTB - we can't trust RTE, SIPO, Bertie, the EPA, the ECB, the American Government or the UN why would I trust a shower of accountants? The only thing that will convince me is if there was a walkthrough of ALL the possible scenarios involved through the flow-diagram you had earlier and employing all the combinations and permutations and conditions debugger-style with nice colours for the alphanumeric variables and the facility to change the data on the fly. |

| That guy Blair Hughes promising forced recognition of Trade Unions via the Charter of Fundamental Human Rights nearly put me off voting yes.
I see Mary Lou is getting rave reviews on P.ie. I just don't get it - she is so condescending, contrary and sounds so polished and false. She was also shown to be a total hypocrite on the tax issue, but recovered some ground on abortion. While people may think she is smart, I don't thin kshe will bring any more voters to SF.
Low point for Ganley came not when Martin accused him of pushing a US military agenda to keep the EU weak but when he disagreed with everybody else and said Lisbon might bring in abortion. It was crystal clear then that he was not arguing on principle or for something he believes but rather for a concrete goal. I don't know why he was on the panel anyway. The floppy heaired lad in the audience appeared to know more. Also he had more manners than Ganley who talks over anyone making a decent point against him - Karen Coleman (?) on the Wide Angle on Newstalk told him straight that she would have to cut off his mike and still he kept on shouting the other side down. I am not surprised he inspired so much jeering form the crowd.
Brigid Laffan was incisive and impressive.
Enda Kenny was quite good despite what the bashers say. I think Bowman did not give him a fair crack of the whip though and let Martin go on for much longer. Enda still was definite in what he was saying and got his dig in at Ganley's Military Industrial complex at the end. His quip that the Libertas volunteer he met was Ganley's brother was great. |

Then how come Ray Kinsella of UCD thinks that this Treaty will lead to a CCCTB within the next few years? |
