I was roped into it. Is it really well-known to be bad? What's the alternative? (Do I even need one?)

I hate the way someone invites you to an application and you have to choose at least one person on your list to start that app. It's a virus.

What was classic was someone started an app to PROTEST against this feature in facebook and sort of boycott it. You couldn't subscribe to the protest app without ticking at least one person on your list though ...

You discuss it as if you expect us to be familiar with its details? It has a bad name among the more... diserning internet users. All sorts of riff raff I hear.
