If he had died, he(Wall) wouldn't be in front of the tribunal to tell them that.

Not enough dying going on.

The will said that the house, in the event of Bertie's death, would go to his daughters.

And Bertie is saying he was not the owner of the house? Bertie's evidence, as amended, would seem designed to ensure no tax liabilities, rather than to make any sense.
"Reeling in the Years" yesterday evening showed a younger Bertie as Finance Minister saying that the State should show "no mercy" to tax evaders.

If Micheal Wall had died we would of course have known all about this as the Grant of Probate would have the Will attached and would be available to all in the Probate Office. Very shoddy method of giving a bribe if you ask me.
