| PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU CAN VOTE FOR UP TO THREE CHOICES And you do not have to be in the Book Club to vote Above is the shortest list we could put together for the second International Machine Nation Book Club. You do not have to be in the book club to vote and please vote either way otherwise there could be ten #1s or something like that You may also choose multipply as there may be plenty of scope for pairs of books to be read together. If there are any suggestions to have books removed and others put on instead please pipe up. You may now access the book club from the Forum menu/Select Forum (under Welcome) on the portal. 'Multipply' is not a properly spelt word either.

| I think a lot of people favoured Naomi Klein's Shock - not my first choice but would be very happy to read it if picked.
(perhaps we should have read Shock, followed by Collapse and then perhaps Recovery, if there is such a title).
Perhaps if you put the Authors in the poll people could look up the titles on the thread? Or shortened versions Diplomat - Genocide - Globalisation next to author? |

Should we just vote once, or for our top 3? |

I felt she's worth cloning but knew I couldn't get away with it for long. There's nine now - is it enough or should I add another? I won't unless there's an interest in adding another. As cactus says, it's a good list anyway and might be worth trying to get through during the summer while lying on a beach in Benidorm or eating in one of the many English pubs there. |

Is it in the right place? Ah the long names fit Douthwaite and Stiglitz in the lead |

Shh - it's a secret poll. Ard Taoiseach has been banned from coming within a hundred yards from the thread as he is canvassing virulently for *********. |

| I voted for Diplomacy/Hell, Douthwaite and Booker. This is better than the Eurovision. |

| ibis is checking the register to make sure that everyone votes three times and 905 will be watching out for any Pat O'Connor Pat O'Connorisms.
Total votes 11 !! Arrghh! shouldn't it go up in threes? |

| Spoilt ballots - I never factored in that possibility I was just going on the assumption that people everywhere loved democracy and the choices they are given .. Sad sad sad. People should just be taken out and shot |

| Ehhh. None of the above? I'm stuck writing code for a website with over 300M potential pages for the stats and history of every com/net/org/biz/info etc domain name since 2000. Only coding/html/db books for me for a while. Regards...jmcc |

| 300 million?! 300 megabytes I suppose. Any chance of a sub contract? I can write html now just look at my work everywhere. I had a good master though - evm0197. You can still vote jmcc (and the 3 book choice isn't a shootable offence btw)* *even though we know your IP address - if you experience computer crashes or glitches in the event of you voting only once then it won't be us. Nosireebob Don't mind reading this and Goto Poll |

Don't worry Zhou, most of this thread we are only having a politiburo laugh - please do not feel threatened. The choice is upto three anyway. If you intend selling on the two choices you didn't make to ArdTaoiseach I'll have to warn you that the smile might start to straighten under my walrus moustache. For someone who just clicked here Goto Poll |
