Are the Irish media any better? Take the Irish Times? Does it have any investigative journalist? What was the last time the IT did any investigative journalism?

The era of investigative journalism in newsprint was the 1970s. Reporters are now not only fired, as RFK Jnr. said, but are frequently killed in war zones. Instead of investigative journalists now we have "Truthers" who spin speculative conspiracy theory fairy stories and muddy the water for people who want to know the inside story.

On the plus side we have the internet, which allows for spread of news and debate to a wider extent than ever before. The difficulty is quality control - a mass of information but no editorial scrutiny.

The spinners are Bill O reilly and Hanitty and their liberal counterparts. The truthers are the ones that are exposing them for the nonsense they spin.
The major corporate owners are buying up the small papers to silence them because it makes no economic sense. The good news is the big boys like the NY Times are on their last legs as less buy their papers.
To give an indication of how propaganda works just look at this Kennedy guy. I am a newshound sitting here right in the heart of Kennedy country and I know nothing about him until relatively recently because he is never on tv, radio or print as far as I have noticed. The first I heard of him was when Jesse Ventura wanted him to run with him for president.
The quicker we can get Teddy interred the better and waiting for him to croack should not be an impediment. He sold out his country but more disgracefull even than that he sold out his 2 brothers.
Robert Kennedy is his fathers son so hopefully he will run for the seat. The democratic big wigs would try to stop this but he would get the biggest vote ever. Ted might want to push his son Patrick who is a congressman in Rhode Island. He is the biggest dimwit in the Northeast.
