| I'd like to re-arrange some of the existing links down the right-hand side of the portal and to add more links in a For Dummies sequence if possible, starting with Easy and getting progressively more complex until the Treaty itself. Or indeed if anyone would like to suggestion any format other than the one here already then please do so. New links may also be added if you like. I'd start off with a recommended reading list around the Treaty at the top (possibly wikipedia and the RefCom guide) and sprinkle a few more guides down along until a copy of the Treaty text itself so if anyone can recommend the best pdf. Farther down I'd like to include strong For and Aagainst arguments which you might know and love and if possible at all, links to radio programmes, tv debates archived, youtubes of Whoever arguing for or against, links to threads on p.ie that would be worth sifting through, links to anything, preferably with a guide but if it's informative, clear, simple and effective on either side it might go in there somewhere. Will ye help me? I'll send this around as a pm in case the thread goes out of sight. It'll be found in the Europe forum https://machinenation.forumakers.com/the-new-europe-forum-f30/http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Treaty_of_Lisbonhttp://www.forumoneurope.com/

| Audi, one thing i noticed is that editing the html online is a complete pain. I found it much easier to copy it into a good text editor and edit it there. Then paste back up when done. Keep a copy locally for future edits. | |

Is that because it bunches the code together in a big stream? Can code be laid out better in other editors and it'll stay that way? Normally you'd try to keep it neat wouldn't you? The coding I used to do wouldn't compile if it wasn't in the right place on the screen editor I saw you had a code bank there whereever it went - should we just keep a copy of the code in a thread here would you recommend? |

| Aragon just gave me two Indymedia links, thanks Aragon http://www.indymedia.ie/article/87683 (Part 1) http://www.indymedia.ie/article/87712 (Part 2) If we could arrange it with really simple stuff under the jargon busting heading - and I'll take ANYTHING as an introduction there - Ibis post is going first for example - literally anything - if you have youtube ads on the thing or short presentations I'll put them there. I don't know how to classify the rest yet but am thinking of suitable headings for easy to hard like 1st Gear link1 link2 link3 2nd Gear link1 link2 link3 3rd Gear link1 link2 link3 Driving a Truck link1 link2 link3 Driving a Tank (on the neutrality?) link1 link2 link3 Driving an Aeroplane ? (super complex) link1 link2 link3 Is this the link you were looking for Zhou? http://www.iiea.com/publicationx.php?publication_id=33 |

| Thanks WorldbyStorm for the link. Can you suggest a place for it? http://www.parliament.uk/commons/lib/research/notes/snia-02888.pdfHere's the introduction to it - Quote :
- The nature and amount of EC legislation and its relationship with national legislation is often
the subject of some confusion. Although distinct from UK legislation, EC laws become part of UK law by virtue of the European Communities Act 1972. EC law also takes precedence over existing UK law, which must be amended if it is found to conflict with EC law. This Note considers the different types of EC legislative instruments and their implementation requirements. It also gives figures for EC laws adopted since 1980 and repealed since 1997, as well as an estimate of the proportion of UK legislation based on EU obligations. Contents A. Types of EC Legislative Instruments 2 B. Council and Commission Legislation 2 C. UK Implementing Legislation 3 D. Amount of EC Legislation Adopted 3 E. Legislation Repealed or Expired 8 F. EC Legislation as a Proportion of UK Legislation 9

http://www.iiea.com/publicationx.php?publication_id=33 Nope - the link should bring you to a redline document which shows all deletions, insertions and moved test in the consolidated treaty. This may be it.
There are also quite a few guides here. Rather than "First Gear", why not "Training Wheels"? |

I'm looking through some of these documents for ARTICLE 188 (C?). It seems to be eluding me though there is a plethora of documents. I heard Alan Dukes and Joe Higgins discussing Article 188 the other day and wanted a look but for the life of me I can' see to arrive at it... |

| RTE seem to have a good section on their site. They have an online copy of the Treaty too which looks really good. Check it out. Their version of it would do as the copy of the text I think. Mary Wilson might have a few bits and pieces on it now on Drivetime too http://www.rte.ie/news/features/lisbontreaty/index.htmlThere is a competition on the site somewhere too - Lisbon in 50 of your own words and win a prize. Anyone from here like to do it? You could use this place as your address. ibis Machine Nation forumakers dot com Dallas Ph. 74.86.112.130 ? |

| Are there any good Yes media pieces that anyone would like to share? I'd like to put a few other bits and bobs on the right hand side of the portal there. There are no convincing pieces I've found on youtube yet or favour from the Irish Times or anywhere else.
If you have a burning desire to share your Yes piece with us please do. |

| ...agh, just lost a post!! I had thanked you for collating the various links on the Lisbon Treaty, it's really handy. Have been going thru it over the last couple of days to try to finally get up-to-date over the weekend. Obviously I don't have a vote but am following the campaigns over there. From family and friends, am hearing confusion, irritation and frustration. Irritation at not being able to pin the whole thing down. Have also heard of a lot of rumblings in local FF circles but presume the IFA and RefCom statements of the last few days might have lanced that boil. Will see if I have any positive links to post, but for the mo, read this today - http://www.cer.org.uk/pdf/bn_irish_ref_hb_4june08.pdf From EVM's comments in the Sibin this eve, it sounds like the Yes side might well garner more support. Was that Bruton interview on RTE? must have a listen. |
