This article is quite fitting and appropriate to today's zeitgeist.

Or perhaps not.

I had a look and considered posting on a novel I read in spanish called El Húsar about a young French Hussar (?) getting ready to hack his way through the Spanish army. It was mostly about the night before the battle and was quite a short book. It was very tense and ended very memorably but will never be shot by Hollywood like that.

Arthuro Perez Reverte. Great novel about an awful business.
