| What's the most exotic food anyone here's eaten? I'm a spud and mate man but even I have experimented with escargots and frog-legs (verdict: like rubbery garlic chicken). |

| Crocodile - exactly what were the circumstances and how did it taste? Do Buffalo (or is it Bison?) flavoured crisps taste like the real thing? Edo - impressive! |

| Oh johnfás you were in Africa..
I've eaten snails in Spain and Kangaroo in Australia. Also octopus and squid in Spain - the black ink or some of it gets cooked with the squid and yum yummy yum yum
I also had a yoghurt culture in Spain that turned milk into yoghurt - it was like a small sponge and once put into a litre of milk began turning it quickly into yoghurt so within 24 hours you ended up with gorgeous drinkable stuff you could keep outside the fridge - an important thing in a pre-refrigeration culture. This thing was fascinating because it itself grew after a short while and could be split and shared with others potentially forever... |

| Auditor has just reminded me of another one I had in Kazathstan a couple of years ago - Airag (I think) - fermented horse milk - lethal stuff ,particularly if you've just a feed of vodka earlier in the day! |

Indeed - ate most of them in Carnivore, Nairobi! Africa? Pfffft! There's a butcher in Terenure where you can get pretty much all of those. And you can get crocodile in Fresh in Smithfield (and so presumably in other branches of Fresh). The most exotic I've ever had is rabbit, and I had to be tricked into that! (Not the most adventurous with food.) |
