A chairde,

Let's get a few things straight. First of all, 95% in the Republic did indeed vote for the GF Agreement; and then found out it was not an agreement, but a set of provisions that could be unilaterally revoked by Britain at any time (eg Mandelson and the Assembly). So surely it's fair that the original articles 2and 3 be reinstated and Irish citizens should get a chance to vote on this;

"Are you cool about revoking your claim on the island in exchange for this wish list of the Irish bureaucracy, any of which can be unilaterally revoked by Britain at any time?"

If you start from the basic position that Britain does not want the North of Ireland then many of the arguments become spurious.

There will not be an Ireland united until all sides respect each other. Killing lads delivering pizzas or Policemen is counter productive it destroys trust. If the goal is to Unite the island then the need is for cooperation and measures that build that trust. Revoking an agreement would be a really stupid thing to do. It would get many innocent people killed. It would get many fellow Irishmen killed plus their wives and children.

All these glorious freedom fighters who are so willing to murder for something that will do what exactly? They are people who are willing to shoot you or me or perhaps our children if they just happen to be in the wrong place. These self appointed arbitrators of life and death are a disgrace and I wish nothing but misery on them. Eternity in hell is too good for them.
