| A friend of mine along with a friend of his, have put together a very interesting film. It's a social commentary of sorts, except for a finish, it's the viewer who adds the commentary. It's an effort that's absolutely devoid of humour, unless one can step back from that narrative and photo story, and see how unmixable these elements would have been, a very short time ago. That's the nature of realisation itself though, isn't it? I knew where this short film was taking me from the moment I pressed play and I would have turned it off, had the journey itself not been such a compelling experience. The visual footage is very pleasing to the eye, whilst at the same time, the mind grasps the contradiction: what we're seeing is not pleasing at all. And who amongst us could fail to love Dennis Hopper, cast in the lead as Brian 'Brains' Ahern? Anyway, enough of my blather, on with the show: Wallets Full of Blood (Houses on the Moon) from aaronrip on Vimeo.

| We do not need to know if victory will be ours or if resistance is futile, we need only to be sure we’re on the right side of the barricade. Zombie trillogy, (for it is nothing less). Vol. IV. |

| Thanks for the nice review - much appreciated. I'm considering an instant sequel: Zombie Banker Blues: Blood on the Bonds |

| "What was built to keep them safe is gonna trap them inside" ...
You've got the tension in there - the radio is creepy in the background - Pat Kenny talking about ghost estates ...
Would you not name the second one "Seán of the Dead" or "Anglos and Demonios" ... Directed by Vincent Pryce Waterhose Coupers |

| Howdy eeekkk. Tis good to see you here.
I'd say there's enough material around to make more sequels than there are zombie film sequels. Wish I was clear minded enough to be able to do what you do. I have what I think is a brilliant idea for a documentary, but when I set the idea down on paper it looks to be about 10 hours long. And every idea that comes to me would tend to lengthen it rather than cut it.
So I can't tell you how much I appreciate good folks like yourself, unafraid to wield the knife and still end up with something that's coherent and gripping. Seems that I'm stuck with the scribbling I'm afraid.
Regards. |
