Yep, you'd also hope that the place will function as a living space rather than a wasteland which Smithfield, admittedly, is. We'd need an actual community of people living around the area to develop. Pubs, restaurants and the theatre will keep the place active throughout the night. Who needs a theatre when you can watch knacker wedding in the park hotel for free? |

Gosh you're very class conscious but I can see from where you're coming! |

| Chilly evening in the grandmother's church this evening where we had a service for harvest festival. The hot tea and miles of tray bakes and sandwiches more than made up for the broken heating in the church. |

Ugh, Protestants and their refreshments. |

Ugh, Protestants and their refreshments. Not like you Ard Taoiseach to disparage tea. Almost sacre ligious |

| Buffet full of things like this. We had chocolate trinkets, salmon on brown bread, mini quiches, egg sandwiches, ham sandwiches etc etc. Was very nice. Part of the orientation of a Protestant Church is the fellowship amongst the community of the church, aside from just the service - especially at harvest time. |

| Tray bake is anything you can bake in a roasting tin and cut into squares, cactus.
Our local harvest thanksgiving will be coming up soon too - I don't often go to church, but I really do enjoy this service.
Not much rain in the Taoiseach's constituency today - surprisingly. If this life was a Shakespearean play, Cowen would be railing against the storm right now.
I finally gave in and bought a clothes' horse yesterday, though... |

| When I opened the curtains this morning the sky and the river was dark charcoal blue and the grass was covered with bright yellow leaves shaped like spear heads. |

| Harvest Thanksgiving services are all the better in the countryside Kate. I was at one in a Presbyterian Church in Cavan last year - was fantastic - all the more special in areas which are dependent on the land for their livelihood. |

| It was very windy here - had to tie down the garden furniture this afternoon to avoid a repeat performance. |
