You're in Dublin? Wink

Yep, the heavens have opened here in the Mother City of the Gaels, we are about three quarters of an hour into an almighty downpour. I think we're in for flooding with the amount of rain which is falling, and there's been a good rumbling of thunder as well.

Me too, EVM, I can't see myself picking up a watering can this side of September. My plans for a leisurely read of the papers on the lilo out the back today are in tatters.

Could also be a social commentary? Wink

I've just done a quick photo of mine I'll see how it turns out now on the computer. It is very difficult to capture the extent of the rain when it is still bright unless you do it against something concrete. Good watering for the plants anyway!

It has remained dry in my part of Wicklow today, although the ground was wet when I woke up (very late) at about 12.
It has been overcast all day and it's beginning to get very dark. I think the rain is on its way

It looks like we'll need something like that soon enough.

Eh, johnfás, myself and Kate P have devoted many of our posts to our love of rain. We praise precipitation.

I love playing a rugby match in the pouring rain. It keeps it in the forwards, which is where I play, as well as sorting out the boys from the men in the ball handling stakes.
