It's going to be wet the next few days, fairly wet. Are you happy, Kate P?

Oh really, is that the forecast?

That is unfortunate, I was contemplating a BBQ on Friday evening.

It's raining here as I write - a dull and breezy day that turned to rain about 8pm. I am indeed quite happy to see some rainfall and hope it's raining early in the morning so I can sit semi-outside and enjoy it while I work.

Having said that, I'm going to see Bruce Springsteen tomorrow evening and I'm not keen on the idea of a soaking for that.

That will be great though! I was going to buy tickets for it but given I have an exam on Friday it wasn't advisable!

I'm going to Brucie on Friday. Can't wait. I hope we have some nice weather for it.
It's fairly horrible in Dublin at the moment but I think it's stopped raining.

I think he's around until Saturday. Husband is a huge fan and has seen him a number of times. We saw him (was it last year?) when he did his folky tour and he was excellent - had a great band and apart from the fact that he is utterly hunky and a great singer-songwriter, it's impossible not to admire his stamina. He's got the energy of a man half his age. It should be a great show - no matter what the weather does.

It's lashing rain here in Cowen country. Time to pack away the sandals for a little while.

There's some cloud in the west here but sun seems to be triumphing. From the weather satellite looks like there could be some break in the cloud out in the Atlantic (that's the ocean to the left)

A little rain is good for the garden. It feels warmer today, so I don't mind.

The most perfect rain is falling now - the kind that doesn't stop the birds from singing. It's like white noise - solid and constant but not too heavy. The lawn - which needs some work, is that funny green you get when you colour a yellow moon onto a blue sky with crayons. On days like this more than any, it's good to be alive.

It's a wonderful post regardless of the inspiration, I've read it about 20 times, so much description in only 3 lines. Nice one Kate.

I couldn't hear John Bowman in my own house earlier due to the barrels of rain plummeting onto my velux windows. I could have turned up the TV, but opted for listening to the rain instead. Cool

Thanks EVM.

We've had a few blowy days here - like a green autumn with all the bits falling from trees. The lawn is spotted with what look like bushy green weeds from a distance but up close are chunks of ash and other trees that snapped off in the wind.

Now it's dull and damp but not wet - we've had sod all rain unfortunately. A grey evening here;

Well we did! Razz Ah sure, don't worry, it'll be down in Cowen Country(I just love that phrase!) by tomorrow, though by the way an Taoiseach nua is behaving, it's like he has a cloud hanging over him in the Dáil. He should chill in the Sibín before going in to face FG in Leader's Questions.

Anything is better than 'Parlon Country'

Definitely, the new phrase is alliterative and that is almost always amenable, agree all Ard-Taoisigh.

Smile Absolutely.

We have been promised thunderstorms and heavy rain for days here - and haven't seen more than the gentlest few drops fall before changing their mind and moving on. Husband is getting anxious about the barley which could do with a good sousing before it shrivels up and there are no pints for the Síbín. (But no raindancing please until I get my barbecue built!)

It's a gorgeous day here - balmy, breezy... I'm sitting on my swing-swong, glad to be alive.
