| Auditor, where did you get the rank names from. They're cool, but if you pulled them out of your head, then I'm seriously worried about you. Blastula is in there twice btw. | |

Blastula is in there twice btw. I pulled some out of my head ! Blastula is a bunch of growing cell isn't it? I think I'll try to base it on a growing entity and the number of posts are based on the number of cells in a blastula. The reason it's there twice is that an important number crops up during blastula development which I want to acknowledge for that post. 46 chromosomes is important and I like the Pareto principle for a hundred. (80/20 rule) I spent some time on it yesterday looking for important numbers in wikipedia - I love the magic numbers of physics. So my excuse or explanation for it is it comes from cybernetics - the theory of systems where complication emerges from combinations of simpler things. After blastula it's completely open as I haven't gotten past that stage yet so any good numbers you know please throw them my way - transistors on chips or number of flip-flops in a quad core or any good numbers you know. Or any suggestions you have etc. after that at all about anything. I don't mind changing it if you think it's too weird either (yeah right )

| And you don't know if there's a way of applying different ranking systems to posters on the basis of the forums they visit? We could grow people, machines, ticked-off accountants.
Now that would be cool | |

| Can I be a politico? I had just attained the rank on p.ie. I had rushed out and bought a pipe and tweed jacket, but when I came back it was gone. |

| 905 At the moment you are totipotent - you are a cell which has the potential to change into any organ of the body. You are a very important stem cell.
Soon you could be an urban district councillor though.

| Right lads and lassies. Upto now I was doing a bit of toying with the ranks and leaving it as a provisional scheme until the site maybe took and we could put a rank system together using suggestions from posters here. As the site is supposed to be focused ultimately on 'Systems' I decided to use physical, biological and human systems to represent the amount of posts people made, increasing in complexity of system as the number of posts mounted. Where the rank changes I also threw in a one-post rank for what I considered important numbers - 46 for human chromosomes for example. I didn't want the ranks to predictably change at 100, 500, 1000 etc. but rather on the computer system numbers 128, 512, 1028 up until there and then I stopped. You would have been a class of emergent politico in between those numbers. You are free to offer suggestions and advice or indeed create a whole new ranking system. Unity | 1 |

Look, I was on drugs (paracetamol) when I cooked up the first dozen or two but would you not suggest something instead of the foetal politco ones up ? There's no point in people here having political ones but you could suggest ranks from the army, or business or mix and match them - they're not important anyway ... |

Yeah the masonic ones are good. Pre-clear, Clear, Operating Thetan - from one of their websites " pre-OT levels: the advanced auditing levels after Clear and preparatory to the actual OT levels which begin at New OT VIII. The pre-OT levels are New OT I through New OT VII." |
