This year’s European and local elections will be held on Friday, June 5, the Government confirmed this evening.

The polls in the four European electoral constituencies and 258 local election constituencies will open from 7am and close at 10pm.

Environment Minister John Gormley said everyone should make sure they are registered to vote before polling day.
