Wikileaks has got its hands on a manual that Uncle Sam doesn't want you to view.

Quote :
DISTRIBUTION RESTRICTION:
Distribution authorized to U.S. Government agencies only to protect technical or operational information from automatic dissemination under the International Exchange Program or by other means. This determination was made on 15 March 2003. Other requests for this document must be referred to Commander, United States Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School, ATTN: AOJK-DT-SFD, Fort Bragg, North Carolina 28310-5000.

DESTRUCTION NOTICE:

Destroy by any method that must prevent disclosure of contents or reconstruction of the document.

With an introduction like that, one cannot but help feel that it'll be a page turner. And a page turner it is. Check this out:
Quote :
D-10. Abduction is the forcible, nonconsensual removal of a person by one state from the territory of another state. American law enforcement officials refer to such abductions as “arrests.” To be acceptable under international law, abduction must satisfy more exacting standards than the availability of an arrest warrant issued by the state responsible for the action. Abduction may be considered criminal conduct in the state from which a person was taken. Additionally, regardless of whether the state from which an individual was taken is hostile to the abducting state, abductions constitute an extremely sensitive operation that can significantly affect international relations. The United States reserves the right to engage in nonconsensual abductions for three specific reasons:

• If a state for internal political reasons may be unwilling to extradite a
target or give its public consent to the target’s removal. Unofficially,
the state may be prepared to have the target removed without
granting formal consent and may even offer some cooperation in
carrying out the action.
• When the target is an extremely dangerous individual and is accused
of grave violations of international law, such as air piracy.
• To prevent terrorists, other dangerous individuals, and their state
supporters from assuming they are safe from such unilateral action.

I've only just started to examine this document and I look forward to learning how to overthrow governments using indigenous recruits, how to limit a country's ability to fight back by attacking and destroying essential civilian services and infrastructures (in contravention to the Geneva Conventions etc.), etc. In short, it's a book, that no spook worth his salt, should ever be without.

The title of this fine piece of literature is: Special Forces Unconventional Warfare Operations. It was released in 2003 and went straight to the top of the best sellers list. You can read more about it HERE. And you can download your own copy of it HERE.

Ps. Fuck you Uncle Sam!

Aye, the great Satan. Between the Special Forces and McDonalds, it’s hard to know which represents the greatest danger to the common man.

Very Happy

I think they go hand in hand. Don't forget that Starbucks opened an outlet at Guantanamo. Torture must be thirsty work.

I'm sure that it'll be read by lots of our uniformed comrades. Although I'm sure that many of them have first hand experience. There's lot's of camaraderie and fraternisation between spooks and our fellows in and around Shannon. They probably have a nice little exchange program going.

Interesting Hermes. It is a training manual for fostering and running local insurgencies to overthrow governments unwanted by the United States.
It would fit in well on the "Al-Quaida" thread here.

They seem to have learned a lot from observation of successful left-wing insurgencies.

The US have got very good at getting other people to fight their wars for them.

I think they've come up with a few tricks of their own over the years.

They've got a massive advantage over your general and aspirational insurgent types. They've got virtually unlimited resources and a propaganda machine fronted by the most powerful country on the face of the planet. When they want to destabilise your country, there's not much you can do short of sticking your head between your legs and puckering up.

On a more positive note. Historically speaking: an empire like the US is a short lived one. We're currently witnessing its decline.

Their biggest advantage is the "appalling vista" factor, i.e. most people don't believe what is done by the big powers to sustain and advance their perceived strategic and tactical interests. Even when there is plenty of evidence in the public domain of destabilisation and overthrow of legitimate governments, torture and abduction, psyops, false flag operations and illegal invasions there is a level of public denial, mainly in countries that historically have been beneficiaries of the spoils of colonial war and dispossession. As our income levels fall, I am sure that our eyesight and hearing in relation to these things will improve.
