What about retitling forum 3 as "Tachráin ar fud a' Ghriosaigh" . It means the child among the ashes. i.e. the learners. It often refered to the prefered child as in the one closest to the fire gets the most heat. Phrase from Séamus Ó Grianna lampooned by Flann O'Brien'The Sandbox' in other words ...
Just listening to Des Bishop on Ryan Tubridy talking about Irish - if that man is not in a sandbox of his own then I'm not either
We should try to get him here !! He opened talking about the Modh Coinniollach and how it is the conditional tense with 'if' and 'would' and 'maybe'. In a couple of one-liners he explained the tense and described the Irish as a bunch of petrified worriers about the future at the same time !
He translated the song 'Jump Around' into Irish too - he's having fun. He sounds like a genuine philosopher of language (he's saying that communicating in another language is like using a different frequency - food for thought there).
I propose a bilingual forum in Tús Maith anyway. Tús maith, leath na hoibre.
