A couple of older people have talked to me about this programme, and were deeply upset by it. I saw the second half, and it seemed a workmanlike programme, with no agenda. It seems to have affected people unexpectedly strongly. Was this because if followed real families, rather than looking at a broad historical picture?

Did anyone here see it, any thoughts?
