Workers co-ops were discussed a while back in a thread here on anarchism. I'm just watching a programme on worker's co-ops in the Gaeltacht. There seemed to be some evidence that they offered more stable employment, and were less vulnerable in recessions than privately owned firms.

Does anyone have any first hand experience or other knowledge of worker co-ops?
