I was in a Moevenpick hotel a while back and they had the biggest chocolate fountain I've ever seen. It was, thankfully, part of their all you can eat buffet. To my shame I spent more time at the fountain than I did at my table.

There's a great Vicar of Dibley with a chocolate fountain... fabulously gluttonous.

Don't even remind me of the Guinness! Was at a mud hut bar in the bush of Uganda. Saw they had Guinness thought to myself, that'll be nice. Tasted like a mixture of Coca Cola, mixed with Guinness mixed with Ballygowen Sparkling with a bit of chlorine thrown in for good measure. YUCK! pig

It's the real reason Ireland is so popular with Nigerians.
It is, as usual, all about the pints. They've got it spot on with Lager though.

I've searched Dublin for Tusker, a Kenyan beer - absolutely no luck. They stock it in Tesco in the North though.

"The history of chocolate begins with the ancient Aztecs.
In those days, instead of being wrapped in a hygienic package,
chocolate was wrapped in a tobacco leaf.
And instead of being pure chocolate, like we have today, it was
mixed with shredded tobacco.
And they didn't eat it, they smoked it!"

Have tasted 2 different bars of choc in the last week which are also scrumptious.

One was M & S Organic Dark Chocolate with Rose Petal ... mmmm ...

And the other was a freebie bar of Seeds of Change Dark Choc - flavour Orange and Fig - free with today's Observer.

Tried the more authentic Aztec-type recipes years ago and couldn't take it. http://www.seedsofchange.co.uk/whats_new/news_200606_indian_sauce.aspx

'DISCRIMINATION,' she cried, having run to her unopened Observer only to discover no chocolate.

Now, you know that that very chocolate was one that inspired this thread in the first place? On pat kenny during the week was an article on different chocolates and that was one of them - jaysus my mouth was watering listening to it. Can you describe it for us at all? Organic rose petals I believe ...

They also sampled chocolate with chilli in it which i'd love to try. Chocolate with orange is, to my mind, an abomination.

Lastly, did anyone ever eat Hershey's bars in the States and consider them like the taste of vomit? Mad

In my experience Hersheys don't use chocolate - rather chocolate flavour coating. At least that's what they use on the Nutrageous bar and the peanut butter cups.

Both of which taste exactly as you suggest.
