- I think everyone calls outside Dublin 'down'. I have a few friends from Cavan who always refer to going down to Cavan and up to Dublin.
Cavan people also drive "down the North" but "up" to Donegal! |

Now theres an idea - one of me mad aunts lives the life out in the Cayman Islands ,running her own boating business - she has a yacht with a glassbottom and she brings tourists and divers out of over the coral reefs. Might give her a buzz to see if she needs a hand over the busy holiday season - winter on the ocean waves in the Caribbean - I could live with that |

| Glad to see I am not the only one with mad aunts. A great aunt of mine spent over 3 years on a cruise ship. She circumnavigated the globe, courtesy of Cunard, more times than Fillius Fog and Michael Palin put together. |

| I go down to Wexford, up to Belfast and over to Galway/Limerick... that tends to be about the extent of my travelling in Ireland at the present moment. |

| Are things like it nearer the earth or the moon?
Another question which often plagues me is what is going to happen to our waste. I mean in like 10,000 years. All these plastics and what not which we put into landfills. Will they conglomerate into a new mineral, commodity or fuel which we have not yet discovered? |

Go and buy the Futurama Box Set - all the questions you will ever have about the future answered - including landfill waste - trust me. |

All this after the Chairman of the company has still refused to sign off on the salaries which are due friday and are now 2 months overdue - fecks sake - at this rate of going sardines will become the Sunday roast and it'll be pasta and tomato sauce for the rest of the week. Thats crap Edo. Sorry to hear that . If the contract is not signed in december it will be sardines on toast for me in Spain(Sardines are about the cheapest thing you can get here in Spain). Though if all comes to the worst it will be down to the family house in West Cork and fishing for pollack and mackerel for dinner. Ah Im grand Resv- just unloading a bit - its either here or alcohol - and none of yis want me to go there !
Hell Im actually looking forward to it all being over - its like being in a car crash in slow motion - looking forward to putting business and politics behind me for a while - and just go fishing - are the mackerel still running in November? Wouldnt say so - and the pollack (which is not a tasty fish) would even be scarce by now. Anyway I just drop a line with feathers off a boat, so maybe I'm not optmising my possibilities. Regarding seafood all year round, if your spanish or japanese you'd only have to go as far as a rock pool to find all sorts of culnary delights - perriwinkles, tiny crustaceans, mussles, barnacles. Then of course theres that west cork delight of carageen moss(seaweed). I'm a steak and chips man myself but if the family is starving we'd have to make do with whats about. Back to basics. I also need alcohol now and again to take the pain away. A few beers and all is well and rosy again. |

| Myself and my Dad are looking at them with green eyes but have been put in our place and given one each and told not to be so mean as to destroy the Christmas cheer of young children . They're having their nativity festivities next week, over 800 under 9's expected throughout the week. |
