| Could be a variant on this one: B3G63A or the B3G97U. There's one for sale on eBay, I think - unless that's you - the seller might have information. |

Oooh ! That one on Ebay has a slightly different case but the innards seem to be identical. The first two are VHF variants, I think they are UK models. My one has the 2 SW bands and no VHF. The VHF models had an extra mixer valve. Now I could buy that one off ebay and take out the IF transformers and put them in mine. I have no intention of selling mine, as it was originally my mothers and I spent a lot of time taking bits out as a kid and sometimes putting them back in, depending on my mood at the time. So I'm sort of planning giving the radio back to her in one piece as good as new.

| I was doing some work at a Sunday morning market recently and saw something similar, evm. If I'm back again this weekend, I'll take a peek for you. I bought an old radio at such a market several years ago which is identical to one my deaf grandad used to have on his shoulder to listen to the matches on a Sunday. The inside has cardboard in it as a shell for the batteries. I bet if I stuck in some barrel sized batteries, it would work. Those things are indestructable. |

| Nice radio Kate. You should give it a try. I'd love to know if it works.
Looks like a circa 1970 job. Is it a Panasonic ??

| If you look at the back of the speaker, you'll see it says Sanyo. I remember it all through the 80s. I'd need a mortgage and a lorry to get the right batteries to see if it works, but it never really mattered. Like yours, it has Athlone mentioned, and Dublin and a place (?) called Allouis. MW and LW only. |

| What a nice finger you have got. Well shaped nail, not too long or short. No sign of any bangs on the nail, it is not used for manual labour. |
