The last letter of the fish (4)is the same as the start of the city(5). You got the Kil bit. And on a slightly related matter.... Which town in Ireland is this? Terminate the Terminator |

| Correct indeed. It was owned by the Patrician Brothers who ran a school there. It has been bought by a private investor who is renovating the house with its beautiful library and Gold Room - and the conservatory which was lovingly restored by Brother Joseph and a FAS group about twenty years ago and has fallen into a little disrepair. But because a private investor now owns it, the lake is out of bounds for visitors and instead of being an open and welcoming place, it's a bit more like Fort Knox. The school has been closing every year for the last couple of years but the replacement hasn't been built yet. It will be a private home, as part of a collection held by the new owner. On the one hand, it's great that it will be restored and retained for posterity but very sad that it will only be enjoyed by a few. Thousands of people from around the country attended there as boarders; most, I would think, with happy memories. |
