Well the whole match was utterly dispiriting. We never truly engaged with the match and were continually chasing the Tyrone offensive. The Tyrone team set the terms of the match and we couldn't compete. Added to that the fact that our continual Leinster Final wins carry ever less currency in a GAA where Ulster is revived and Kerry continually assure themselves a place in the All-Ireland Final, it conspires to create a very dismal time for us Dubs. We are brought along in early stages by emphatic victories on the scale of our trouncing of Wexford in recent weeks to the point where we slam into either a Kerry or Ulster-built brick wall in the final stages of the tournament.
And don't you be talking bloody Palesman, I respect and admire the contributions of our provinces to the national output. The only ones to get on my wick are those bloody Corkonians with their vastly over-inflated self-regard. I was heartily delighted to see Kilkenny systematically rout them in the hurling. They erected a monument to Francis Drake? What did they do that for? They should melt it down and sell it to the Chinese. For his maritime adventures..I believe...the plaque was vandalised a short while later and somebody sprayed "Ní Seoiníní sinn go léir" on the monument. They overlooked the fact that he led an expedition in 1575 that massacred several hundred women and children of the Clann Mhic Dhomhnaill on Rathlin island.

There was a monument erected to Christopher Columbus in Galway, he is said to have visited Galway and someone from Galway was said to have sailed to the New World with him. Anyway some smart arse wrote "Master Race Week" on the statue. |

Eh....this one - ? Ah...now to be fair former Cork County Council Mayor, Paula Desmond of Labour, was outraged at the attack believing it to be 'anti-English'. Remember him surely......................wherever they erect statues to slave traders |

I just can't understand how anyone on this island could define themselves as part of the occupier next door. Enjoy British culture, fine, I do too by watching British channels and films and enjoying their stuff but that is as a person with an appreciation for culture in general. Defining yourself as being British and draping yourself in the Butcher's Apron on the other hand, is something quite perplexing. |

I have an interest in all histories and find them fascinating but if Empire didn't see fit to erect a plaque to him when they we're in charge of the place then why now?..........if it's reaching out to our English friends it's pretty poor fare.....utterly bewildering |

| I see O Se just got ginger carded for some infraction or 'tother, will this mean he will miss the final should they get over the hurdle of the largely obedient rebels or will Kerry appeal, have his sentence reduced, the referee executed and restitution paid by the annexing of Bandon to the control of the Kingdom. |

| Well it was slightly better than paint drying but Cork deserved the draw(if not the penalty) , not on their performance, but for the antics and thespian skills exhibited by the not so cute Kerrymen. |

| I wouldn`t be so sure about it not being a penalty. I`ll have to see it again. My first instinct was that O`Mahoney was intending to nail him and that the Corkman made sure that there was going to be contact with O`Mahoney. Anyway it was poetic justice for O`Mahoney and for a Kerry team that was unbelievably wasteful. Fair enough they were denied a penalty but my God they must have kicked about fifteen points to twenty points away through dropping it into the keeper`s hands, poor wides, missed goal opportunities etc. It`s hard to call the replay. Cork were awful today but the Kerry monkey is likely to have been lifted off their backs. At the same time it`s hard to see Kerry being that poor again. Kerry also have a problem now with midfield given that they will have to use a midfielder as a back in order to patrol Cussen (lucky man to stay on the pitch after swinging the elbow), so Donaghy will likely start in midfield leaving Tommy Walsh as a target man. Walsh is a fine footballer but some of his decision making is questionable and he`s been substituted in the last two games at least so will we see a change of tactics with Kerry looking to retain possession and guarantee scores by other forwards rather than quick delivery into the target man? Aidan o`Mahoney should be punished for deliberately seeking to get another player sent off, but there were other examples during the summer which should also have been punished. There is no point making an example of O`Mahoney to get the public off the GAA`s back and then ignoring it again until there is another high-profile case. Mayo really blew their chances in the Minors. It`s hardto predict what will happen with minors but I`d wager that the draw will really upset Mayo and that it will be hard to lift them for the replay. |

| Good analysis there anmajornartháinig...I wouldn't question O'Mahoney's intention to take the man out but was the contact inside the box?
I can't abide people going down as if they were shot . Roper was one example against Monaghan as was the other Donegal man whose name escapes me now that did a Greg Louganis(update-Tom Daly Team GB) when Fergal Docherty gave him a clip. It's gamesmanship of the worst kind. Dooher was at it against Westmeath, twice inside a minute.
Take it like a man. You're not on X-Factor. |

| There were five or six high-profile cases in the summer. It`s time to cut out the nonsense . |

| Do people really want the less-best team to win? I understand the sentiment and a Waterford win would be great for the county and for hurling in general, but is there any more to entertaining such hopes than vain sentimentality? |
