Which is your favourite line?
1 and 3 are rather self-absorbed and conditional, aren't they?
So it must be 2; it's the most flattering.
Having said that, I had a funny experience outside Tesco this morning. I was wide awake and happy and feeling good to be alive in that Easter, rejuvenation way and was having a brief walk-by conversation with a complete stranger - male - about the weather when he said completely sincerely "you look great".
That, A-T, is the way to do it.
(Objectively, by the way I am no oil painting and was rather scruffy looking with peculiar slept-on hair but feeling happy obviously compensates for all of those deficiencies)
