Tremayne Durham said he would admit the crime only if he could have a break from jail food. The judge agreed and he got KFC chicken, mashed potatoes, coleslaw, carrot cake and ice cream.
What are the issues arising out of this bizarreness?
One I would mention is product placement. Was the deal sponsored by KFC ?

The murder apparently took place because of a dispute over sale of an ice-cream van

It must also say something for the quality of US prison food. I understand ketchup is counted as a vegetable.
