Increasing Popularity of Hamas

The Irish Times threw up an interesting report today on Hamas. Support for the group has risen in recent months, with about 10% of the population shifting their attitudes and perceptions in Hamas' favour.

The Jerusalem Post is blaming the dissapointing Annapolis conference for the shift here.

Not entirely unrelated is the news that Hamas is willing to start a 'dialogue' with Fatah. According to the above poll, most Palestinians are opposed to the current state of afffairs, though blame is shifting towards Fatah.
