1920- Terence McSwiney was arrested in Cork.

Births

1735- Garrett Wellesley, 1st Earl of Mornington, was born in Dublin. His son, Arthur, would one day become the Duke of Wellington.

Deaths

1543- The other Boleyn girl died. Mary Boleyn had been Henry VIII’s lover before her sister Anne. To give this the Irish angle the Boleyn’s were related to the Butler’s of Ormond.
