Obama's ****-off to the peace movement that did so much to get him elected. Different ass****, same ****:

http://www.thecatsdream.com/blog/2008/12/death-notice.htm

Anyone reeelly surprised by this? Which idiot thought that because a black man was allowed (and that is the correct word) to be president, the movers and shakers would change their tune? By his election, the powers behind the throne have bought themselves a populist public acquiescence for a little while longer - Obama's racial origins are being disgustingly exploited. Until people realise this so-called great new dawn in US and world history turns out to have been anything but, everything will continue exactly as before: the murderous invasions of resource-rich/strategically important countries, the asset stripping and financial market abuses by the elite of ordinary working people everywhere - etc etc etc.

Obama is a puppet president like all before him.

A bit early to be jumping to those sort of conclusions I'd say.

Gosh, you're a cheery bastard today.

He's a politician like all before him, I realised that since the admission that he listened to Bruce Springsteen. It wasn't obvious though, I can see how some people might have been dissapointed.

I can't say I like your tone though.
"Until people realise this so-called great new dawn in US and world history turns out to have been anything but, everything will continue exactly as before..."
So when everyone sees it properly, like you do already? That's convenient. Forgive my tone, but I'm inclined to give the man a chance first before writing him off altogether.

By your "allowed" remark I take it you don't mean the voters? If so, it is far from a perfect system but we could sit around all day waiting for a system to come along that suits everyone. I'll be honest, by everyone I mean you. Again, forgive my cynical tone but two can play at that.

After the little wave of euphoria, many realised that it was all downhill from here. The poor fecker couldn't possibly live up to the hype. I wonder if this isn't a pre-emptive write-off.
