An up and down week: work was going well until the bugs struck my tonsils yesterday. Virtual champagne will put that right though.

I'm off to bed now. After dropping the rest of the brood at the airport tonight I thought I'd treat myself to something I haven't had in yonks: a chinese takeaway. Oh man! I'm in the heart of Regret City right now. It was awful. I knew it from the first bite but I'd built up so much anticipatory enjoyment at the thought of it that I persevered until the horrible truth could no longer be denied. It was the shiteist meal I've eaten in ages and it's remains are lying cold beside me even as I type - the nauseating smell pervading the entire house: crispy shredded chicken in sweet chili sauce accompanied by chips with curry sauce. WTF was I thinking of, eh?
