As I type there are reports coming in of a riot outside the Israeli embassy, involving thousands.

Keep an eye on this thread on the UK's Indymedia for news as it comes in: LINK.

Doesn't seem to have been much of a riot. Throwing shoes seems to becoming quite popular though...

"Get down to Kensington High Street now! There is a mass riot involving thousands of people going on right now and the Israeli embassy is very close to being stormed. This is an event not to be missed!"

Indeed, sounds great fun altogether, a right jolly jape.

For a few, maybe tonys, but most people involved would have other things to do with their Saturday afternoons.

I wouldn’t know the likely breakdown between the “rent a crowd” and concerned citizens, but someone in Indymedia UK seems to think a bit of fun is there to be had.

Indymedia, as far as I understand it, operates as a kind of notice board. That seems to be an anonymous, and not very serious post. There were a couple of thousand people in a peaceful demonstration, so far as I can see from the news.
